Pascal Dusapin Residency at the Louis Vuitton Foundation

The Utopia Orchestra will give its first concerts in 2026 at the Louis Vuitton Foundation as part of the Pascal Dusapin residence. In this programme, Teodor Currentzis juxtaposes two works by composer-in-residence Pascal Dusapin, including the world premiere of Flying River, his violin concerto commissioned by the Louis Vuitton Foundation and performed by young Swedish virtuoso Daniel Lozakovich, and a contemplative piece by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, inspired by medieval Orthodox music. Bridging the gap between the contemporary edge of Dusapin and the ethereal spirituality of Pärt are two pieces by Italian composer Giacinto Scelsi featuring the expressiveness of lushly developed soundscapes.
